Hadyai Family tRip on daddiesSs' buRfday...

finally.. we made it for our annual trip to Hadyai.. on daddie's and yee cheong's burfday !!

when I was young...

during pri-skool-tym... I used to go Hadyai At Least 5 or 6 times in a year...

seriously.. every of my schoolmates thought that Hadyai is my second home..

and yes.. since that time.. I used to joke around, and tell ppl that, Hadyai is my hOmetown~ *weEEe...

as grown older... we reduced our trips backed hOmetowen to quarterly, half-yearly and now annually... :'(

as usual, we gonna settle our breaky at Bt Lanchang Market before kicking start our journey...

lately, I seriously lOve deep deep with my iphOne new camera features !

PUDDING CAMERA

which consists of 7 types of camera lenses

furthermore, the interesting parts is...

routinely, after checked-in... ( again, we stayed in Diamond Hotel, as it got the connecting room which is convenient for us, the big family... :) )

the 1st destination must be Odean Shopping Mall...

5th Floor, Food court,

for our favourite Pork Leg Rice !!!

groceries session at 2nd floor Odean after lunch...

I set out new activities for this trip...

instead of straight proceed to Central for Bra Session...

I brought my family to the Floating Market that recommended by Mung...

took tut tut, they charged us for 300 bath.. for 11 of us...

bit more expensive than the normal ride...

as it's farer... we din know the exact place, so no negotiation with the driver either..

the boring part in this trip...

was the rainy weather...

luckily the heaby rain stopped on time before we heading to the floating market...

but the floor were still wet...

it was quite happening...

it seems like this Floating Market is now the top tourist spot in Hadyai..

believe it would be much more crowded if it wasn't a rainy period...

yee cheong so wanted to try it..

thus bought a mixed combo of everything ! @.@

it's the second time seeing koko eating scopion..

he had one with Michael few years backed...

yet.. the disgusting feel is still there...

one thing we like the most of this market...

is the environmental friendly concept...

they don't use any plastic bag/ cup/ bowl/ plate...

for all drinks... you can choose to put in such a unique big bamboo container....

or such a cute cartoon clay container...

either of them, cost only 20 baht !!!
makes no different with those serving in plastic bag which could find in town...

*** the container if for you to bring hOme !! how worth !!

everything is selling at 20 baht !!

my fav coconut-ice-cream from Thai...

same thing served in plastic cup selling at tOwn selling at 20 baht...

paying same price, you can get generous toppings of bread, grass jelly and heaps of atap chee, AND a nice bowl to bring home at Floating Market !!

despite the clay bowl, they do serve foods in banana leaf in creative ways...

very yummeh Belachan Rice with heaps of toppings ( sauteed porks, eggs, mangoes, red onions, big dried shrimps, chillies, cucumber )... 20 baht!

for soup noodles, they would serve in bowl made of Coconut Shell !

Beef Noodles at 20 baht too...

Coconut Milk Tomyam Bee Hoon with shrimp...

too sweet for our liking...

Thai likes to add on sugar while cooking almost everything... -___-

this used to be one of my favourite dessert when I was young...

I must buy this in my every trip to Hadyai...

I supposed I did not eat it for at least 8-10 yrs...

been made and coloured beautifully...

they use this long bamboo basket to send you the food...

and customer will drop the $$ into the basket...

we off to Night Market after the early dinner at Floating Market...

100 baht each, gal and guy size available... with good quality... :)

to have breaky at the kopitiam opposite the morning market...

thus papa, chosen this chop off the junction of Odean Shopping Mall...

Clear Soup is tasty...

but...

added on the chilli powder and chilli sauce made the bowl of noodles even BEST !

dried version....

choose wutever balls u likes n wide range of noodles available too...

from egg noodles / yellow / green noodles / bee hoon / kuih teoh / hor fun and etc...

off to Morning Market !

so sad.. our favourite restaurant " 59 " is closed after we done our body massage session...

so disaapointted, thus settled our lunch at the corner seafood restaurant opposite Watson...

the foods here used to be really yummeh ! remember papa likes their fresh big Oyster a lot...

but they've changed a new chef...

and the foods are no longer for our liking... :'(
