Hadyai Family & Frens Trip - day 2

16th August, 2008...

There was a Buddha Festival in Hadyai, I got no idea what kinda celebration was that, our understanding from the poster, we known that there will be approximately 3500 monks gathered in Hadyai for scriptures chanting on this day... We couldn't tell more by seeing at the poster with Thai words... The ceremony started at 6am in the morning... despite munks, there were heaps of buddhist from other countries, such as M'sia, Taiwan and etc.. Roads were blocked and everyone was sitting on the mat during the ceremony.. Je and I have missed it... as by the time we woke up.. the ceremony was nearly end d...

look at the colourful Pao & Siu Mai... they looked beautiful... but I won't feel like eating them tho...

breaky from stewpig... ^^ start from the left is the butter&sugar, pandan kaya & meat floss...
as usual, we went to the market on the 2nd day mornng... photo takne on the 'tut-tut'... *weEe~
breaky at the shop opposite the market...
Thai Sugarcane Drink... tho it's always sO sweeet... but it tastes really nice~~ ^^

I had the Dried Beehoon instead... added the Bitterground stuffed meat and etc... how will I miss out the Dried Chilli powder/ Sour Chilli Sauce & Nuts....? he he oh yah.. plus some soup~
thx ko ko and Jackson took this photo from 2nd floor..
I like the expression of daddy.. made this photo looks even lively... hhehe... doesn't it?

going to check out.... is this guy trying to molest my ele? gOsh~

-lunch tym-
another must-eat-thingy while traveling to Thailand must be the Shark Fin & Birdnest !! *winkz
their shark fin normally comes in a claypot like this... it has diff range of prices.. this costed 400 Thai Baht.. the portion is kinda big.. can actually share btw 2 or 3 if not having it as a main meal.. but my ko ko ordered a bowl of rice to eat with it... like what ppl says " yu chi lou fan~ 鱼翅搂饭
in Thai style, they will normally add the bean-sprout, spring onion & the coriander into the shark fin and eat together... this is something diff from the culture of Asian...
My fav Bird Nest !!! ^^ we ordered the 200 Thai Baht, which they said is 金丝燕.. I added heaps of Ginko !!!! :)
actually in the shark fin shops they offer many yum yum dishes too... the Pineapple Fried Rice !!
my fav meatball stall !! in front of Lee Garden.. it opens on evening tym... luckily we still able to meet 'her' before left.. the stall opened few minutes before they went to take the cars...
she bbq the meatballs & etc with charcoal as you can see the bbq pitt.. after that she will dip the stick stick into their homemade thai sauce.. there are 2 sauces avail... one is spicy and another is non-spicy... both are nice, the spicy one is Super Hot !! *thumbs-up !!
but the price has increased d.. used to be 5 bath per stick and now is 20 baht for 3... but cheap still.. the hotdog is very yum yum too.... ^^
no doubt we grabbed Many SticksSsssss of meatball & hot dog~
while waiting for the stall to be set-up.. I bought the Fresh Frozen Yogurt from Swensen since I didn't get to sit down and have a couple of scoops~ the Swensen there is a lot more nicer than the one in Penang.. yet the price is Cheaper Alot!! I mixed the yogurt with mixed berries and peach~ ^^ i miss the one in Aussie !!

this is their KFC Menu... YEs Seafood selling at KEntucKy Fried Chicken !!
Shrimp Doughnut.. many shrimps to make up this circle~
Fish Finger... fish is fresh and nice~
Grilled Chicken Burger from KFC.. nice~ I guess they used boneless chix drumstick to make the pattie.. the meat is so tender and nice... the salad is Brocolli instead of Iceberg Lettuce.. nice nice~ you will find it healthier while eating it... unlike all the deep fried stuff...
Samurai Pork from McD~ no chance to see a sight of it from our land...
This is from Auntie Annes... The hotdog wrapped in M'sia, I thought it is nice.. but after tried this... far to compare both of em... this cheesy sausages wrapped with the bread.. before served they spread more parmesan cheese on top of it... can imagine..? *thumbs up again !!

Dairy Queen... Carene said she used to have it while she was staying in Melbourne... but I wonder why I never see it in Aussie... no doubt it is so nice as how she described.. cheap sumore~ only 20 or 35 bath for a cup of choc chips ice cream~

Arrived my home sweet home~ ^^ see those things stuffed in our car's... haven't counted those at my sis's car...

something from there...
yes, all the while I'm using kids toothpaste ^^ the classic Pooh can only get from Thailand... Doraemon is avail here but more expensive than you can get from Hadyai... selling cheaper sumore attached free Doraemon handkerchief.. I bought a Hello Kitty one for Steph~ with free toothpaster holder。。。

itz crazie yeah..? how on earth will ya not buy it when they're so Cheap!! the look-so-yummy-yet-tasted-yummy-biscuit-stick-sekalian are just 9 baht, 12baht & 20 baht respectively... while at other places, you would need to spend few dollars for just a lil box... I bought the choc, white choc, strawberry, beer flavor, bacon & cheese flavor, banana choc and etc etc....
everyone knows the Lays chips is selling cheap in Thailand... but I prefer the Tasto !! Gosh.. especially the Ridge Cut.. the quality is just so Great.. won't feel any oily.. can hardly stop once start eating it !! I didn't get too many as my bro, sis, je fu and stewpig already bought a lot !! The seaweed which sold RM5.90 in Jusco... can get it from there for only 29 baht~
some instant noodle for sure~ I bought 2 lil Pooh-cup-noodle for Eve & Peggy.. and get myself some Tom Yum Beehoon Cup~
I was so excited while seeing this BeetRoot juice in the fridge !! taste Great !! bought few diff Green-tea for a try~
Last but not least... the most important thingy.... ta-da~
Sanitary Pad !! plenty huh.. he he... how to resist while they're so cheap, so many variesties yet knowing they're nicer to wear~
