Dim Sum Buffet at Golden Sands, Bt Feringghi

since last month,

koko mentioned that Golden Sands is having a Dim Sum buffet...

he wanted to bring us for a try...

unfortunately, we weren't able to make it on any weekend, due to our tight schedule...

from us to Hadyai - me to Cameron, Malacca, hadyai - ko ko to vietnam - me n familie to Sunway Lagoon - ko ko to Koh Samui...

finally !!

last week, we were All Here !!

ko ko woke us up on Sunday morning...

made a ring for reservation...

and our happie family-sunday started from Bt Feringghi...

the overall foods are OK...
not those super-super-nice-must-try-type...
but it does worth a try !!!

just something rily special on a weekend.. with an affordable price... :)

30+ varieties of Dim Sum...
despite the normal Har Kao, Siew Mai, Char Siew Pao and Lotus Leaf Glutinuos Rice...
the rest from the list are those we seldom see from the other Dim Sum Places...

the nice waiter served everyone of us with a small bowl of Century Egg and minced Pork Porridge to kick start the buffet...

this is my favourite over the whole buffet...

Cayden alone had 2 bowls of this !!

we sort of ordered most of the things from the list...

when the foods served,

we totally have no idea wut is which...

stuffed pork and shrimps....

this is quite nice, every of us kinda like it...

this dumpling look-alike dim sum...

Wan Tan Skin stuff minced pork and shrimps...

the filling is tasty but the skin upper part bit thick and dry...

the mini pear stuffed with curry vegetables...

the nice part was...

we ordered hell lots of foods...

no way to finish...

we all tot... gOsh... surely got charged ! since it's buffet !

mummy asked the attentive-waiter with an impressed question... which I first tot a rily silly question...

Mum: " can we take away the foods ? "

Waiter: " sure, I will bring you few containers.. :) "

".........."

we were rily surprised with the answer and happily packed all the unfinished dim sum ( 20 pieces or more ) into the containers...

after that,

plates of fruits were served... ^^

dragon fruits, pineapple, papaya, watermelon, honeydew

overall experience is good :)

Fanne je je chosen Golden Triangle, IndoChine Cuisine at Queensbay Mall…

I’m Okay with it.. since never tried before, been hearing Raye talked bout this nice but expensive restaurant since last yr end I supposed…
They’re having promotion for dinner now…
rm50/ 60++ per pax, all-you-can-eat… we’re allowed to order whatever on the menu (foods from Appetizers to Dessers + beverages).. unlimited..

PROVIDED all foods must be finished..

the trick is…

if you’re go in 10… each dish that any of you ordered would be served in the portion for 10…

so make sure wutever ordered would be shared among.. ;)
I would say this promo is quite worth if let’s say you’re dining in with small no of ppl…

perhaps 4-5 would be nice…

as my fren went with her bf..

ordered ala carte…

also paid around rm 100 for 3 dishes + white rice…
imagine we went in 20pax… paying over rm1000… tho we ordered more than 10 dishes per table with heaps of seafood…

still consider kinda costly…
With this amount, could actually enjoy sharkfins/ abalone perhaps?
No doubt, the foods are very delicious… Thai Cuisine with strong flavor…
All the seafoods are fresh indeed…

we ordered a lot of prawn.. all on the menu..

I don’t take prawn, but they said all are nice…

this is highly recommended ! heaps of pineapple pieces on top..

in fact, loads of seafoods are hiding at the bottom... so so so well-flavoured!

served in a coconut...

Stir Fry Egg Plants with Minced Pork... simple dish but very delicious indeed...

Kerabu Mango with Peanuts

the veggie is so 'green' and fresh...

Stir Fry Chicken Pieces with Japanese Tofu and Tamatoes in 2 flavours ( Nor Bi )
nice dish for those not favor in spicy foods

Green Curry Chicken -- very Rich and Tasty !!!
boneless chicken pieces with cauliflower, mini egg plants, green peas
kind of creamy but won't go too much at all... just nice and well flavoured !

In fact, we've ordered more dishes...
some I didn't manage to take photos as too busy enjoying my dinner...
if not mistaken...
only for my table.. 7 of us had orders around 18 dishes...
few are repeated orders....
I supposed the other table of my parents + je's frens also ordered more than 15 dishes... :P

After dinner…

stewpig then told me..

there would be a partie for me at QE II at 10.30pm…

S'pore Fried Prawn Noodles...

daddy just couldn't get over with the newspaper they put infront of their stall...

saying there're approximately 10 thousand customers visit their stall in S'pore each nite...

Beside this, they sell Char Kuih Kak, Oyster Omellette, and Fried Kuih Teow as well..

no doubt this noodles thing is really nice...

3 big prawn with plenty of squid costs only rm 7.90

the portion is Huge !

Yellow Hokkien Noodle, with a transparent noodles.. not Laksa Noodles, not Thick Bee Hoon...

I never come across this kinda noodles, so I dunno how to call it..

but this is nice & recommended !

the very expensive Roaster Duck & BBQ Pork looks really yummie...

Portion for 2 as pic shown, costs stewpig rm 25.60... ( price included 2 rice )

the Pearl Milk Tea from Little Taiwan is no good at all...

it already tells from the way they made the drinks..

no shake... just stir... -_-

surprisingly, I didn't join em for Ikea Trip but would rather accompany stewpig to 'take-rest' at The Apartment...

( as we have concluded that Thai & Vietnamese Cuisine suit daddy & mummy appetite the most... so we won't consider other much no more... )

je fu bought this Champaige Grapes... it's so tiny... kind of sour & sweet mixed up taste...

very yummie.. but pricey at times...

kimmie fav Cherries !!!!!!

da mei mei got a little pack of expensive cherry by her je je after being good to help her for dinner.. ^^
