MamazDay...
daddie suggested to have lunch at an old-'rest' that we didn't visit for long long time.. (till I've forgotten that I eaten here before)
Sin Kheang Aun Hainanese Cuisine nearby Julia St
Jackson was in Penang during MaMaz weekend ^^
we seated at upstair..
see how classic and antique is here..I like the light green wall with Wooden furnitures...
the house is cool & windy enough.. we won't feel hot eventho the fan is not switching on... we had the Barley Drink with Barley liap !!! ^^
see how old-style is the technology here...
we can seldom see this kind of ' lift ' in any restaurant no more..
old ppl is smarter..
with this way to deliver foods from downstairs to upper floor... save a lot of labour works... and times... foods could be served quicker and prevent the gravy or dish to spur out during the way runner walk up the stairs to serve foods..
we ordered all the traditional Hainanese signature Dishes...
hehe.. as all of these are our fav too... :P
Assam Prawn... I don't eat prawn.. but accoridng to mummie.. the one in Sai Kong Garden is nicer..
daddie then explained to us.. both of em using different Recipe to cook this dish...
one is fried the prawn with Assam, another type is marinated the Prawn with Assam prior frying... so... shouldn't have compared...
Jiu Hu Char ( Stir-fry turnip with cuttle fish, minced pork, carrot, spring onion, and lastly Fried Onion on top )
Hainanese Curry Fish Head & ladies fingers
