Chin's Stylish Chinese Cuisine Fine Dining, QE II, on Je & jefu buRfday~

last weekend...

it's da buRfday weekend of mOnster's parents...

je fu's burfday on 15th May, and je's falls on 16th May.... both of em borned in the S-A-M-E year... :)

sweet, right?

due to babie Geon Wul is sick...

the celebration with je's frens has been postponed...

we didn't know what to eat...

thus, I proposed this Chinese Cuisine Fine Dining place to ko ko...

he bought us dinner on Saturday nite...

a very costly one.... :P

this restaurant is situated in QE II...

just at the left-hand-side of QE II ( right-hand-side is the western-pizza-place )

the interior design is marvellous...

with the beautiful sea view at the night...

dinner could be romantic if not going with such a big gang like us... :P

I particularly like their concept of hanging all the painting on the ceiling... instead of walls...

I got no idea who is the painter/ artist of those art works...

whether or not they are all from the same artist...

all of them are rather creative and nice !

in order to serve the purpose of being a Fine Dining Place, the whole restaurant is set with dimmed light...

last but not least, the chandelier simply made the whole environment even more elegant and cosy *winkz

the tables are placed with all the beautiful design plates...

they're all SO beautiful....

I purposely chose to sit at the place with this Zebra Plate...

sad to know that, the plate would be collected back and change to normal dining dishes before the course start...

and later on, daddy saw the selling price of those plates showing on the shelf at rm 180/ each !

there are few set-course-meals available...

from the lowest price of rm 88 ++ per pax ( minimun 4 pax ) to rm 188 ++ or more ( with lobster and foie gras )

we chose the rm 88 set E which recommended by the person in-charge...

once decision made, little menu will be served....

I wonder such a big gang sitting at such a Huge Table would consider as fine dining too....

bit sien.. as I would need to stand up through out the dinner for my foods...

* recommend not to go with such a big gang like us ( 16 adults, 4 kiddos )

Garlic Cucumber

Bang Bang Chicken
I supposed they're using boneless chicken tights to make this dish...

tops of heaps of nuts, sesami and challots... very nice and would definitely trigger your appetite... :)

Human Shredded Seaweed

marinated with chilli slices and garlic...

Century Eggs in Grilled Red Pepper

I don't eat this, but I can see the rest very enjoying it...

Hot Appetissers

Heavenly Blessed Joysticks

Abalone, mushroom, fungus and etc has been cut into small pieces in served in lok lok style...

the stickies are marinated in the Sze Chuan Spicy soup in the bamboo...

I don't think this dish is written on the menu...

we couldn't eat any Needle Mushroom... but tasted the beef cubes in this Sesami Spicy Gravy...

Sesame Prawns on Toast...

this is yum yum yum....

I don't eat prawn, but still couldn't help to finish the whole pattie is less than couple seconds...

the sesame outer layer is simply crunchy...

the shrimp filling is matching well with the toast....

simply awesome...

Specialties

Chin's Aromatic Crispy Duck

the waiter shredded the duck into thin slices in front of us...
meanwhile, the waitress bringing the lemon water for each of us to wash our hands...

the side dishes such as, the steamed thin wraps, spring onion, cucumber, and sweet duck sauce are prepared...

similiar to Beijing Duck...

this is so yum yum yum !!

the duck meat itself tasted so well-flavoured and aromatic !!

by this stage, all of us are 90 % full~

this is ridiculous, as the main course is not even served yet !

Main Course

Double Flavoured Wild Fresh Water Fish

daddy and koko like the fish so so much !

it's not sea fish but , Pati (cheah zui hu)

the greenie part is salted veggie... which tasted slightly sour and spicy...

whereas the red part, is more spicy, Sze Chuan style...

the fish is so soft, fresh and well-cooked ! both the chillie and salted veggie are thinly chopped with garlic and shallot

Cumin Mutton Skewer

the chilli is the super-spicy-and-hot-from-Vietnam...

me the spicy-lover, accidentally eaten a little piece of the chilli...

my whole mouth gone numb... the spicy level almost made me cry... this is serious...

I kept drinking stewpig's draught/ beer/ warm water... none of them could help...

it took several minutes for me to 'recover' ...

I forced daddy, ah yee, je fu, stewpig and ko ko to try one... ( whom are Chilli Padi lovers )

none of them bother to give me a damn.... !@##@$#!!@#$!!!$%%

Sauteed Vegetable with Red Rice Yeast

Stif-fry Haun Choo Leaves with red-bean-curd and chilli...

Crab Meat with 'Cloud Ear'
Stir fry crab meat with egg and black fungus...

"Gele Mountain" Hot Chicken

Deep Fried the chicken dices first before Stir fry with dried chilli, peanuts, shallots and sesami...

this is not really hot but very delicious afterall...

even the nuts are all well-flavoured

Fragrant Plain Rice

the rice is very aromatic and nice...

little mOnster finished 1 and a half bowl of white rice by himself before any dish is served !

no gravy, no nothing... can imagine how good is the rice !

Dessert

Pumpkin Cake with Sweetened Red Bean Paste

this is nice.. the red bean paste filling won't be too sweet but just nice...
none of us can finish the little piece of dessert...

as our tummies have really been filled up with the appetizers and main courses...

tho it's a bit pricey...

but the foods that served are really with better quality and well-prepared...

which will not disappoint at all...

the total bill for 16 of us amounted to rm 1800+ *sweat

thanks to ko ko for this expensive dinner !

Miracle of Shopping.. welcome bUnnIe =)

today..

again, I strongly believe that shopping a.k.a. buying things can really ease away the unhappiness...

this philosophy may not apply to all human being...

as in...

it might only be applicaple for G-I-R-L-S

this magic works instantly !

serious !!

I drove in Qbay with an emotion-less face...

walked like a zombie...

after less than an hr time...

my face was fulled of smiling when I driven back to office...

** when I saw this little Bunnie watching over me on my finger.. ^^

he is juz So adorable~ :)

and the MOST happee thingy ever IS...

do not need to spend a single penny while you can still enjoy shopping at da same time... :)

paid 25 bucks for a skirt, a top, 2 adorable rings and a long necklace...

I came out with singing 'la la la' in my mind...

and flowers in my heart~ *winkz...

I doubt if I did eat more than 50 sets of Mc Value Meal in my life...

it equals to 2 sets in a yr...

I'm far to be a fans of Mc D...

but I just had it today !!!! *weEeee...

it should be the 3rd or 4th Fillet O Fish in my whole life... :P

if I happen to eat Mc D.. usually will go for Kiddo Meals... :)

because of those free bies ... >.<

I was looking forward before eating it...

but after few bites.. again I know it will take quite long time for me to have another set of mc D again...

I'm weird... -____- ""

but I'm still happee to buy it !! as I paid only rm 1. 25 for the whole set including tax !!

wa haha.. all these miracles happened to me..

because of those vouchers !!!

haha.. so happee to spend without needing to dig-a-hole in my pocket ~~

I'm having really goodie gud mood when I walked to car park with these 1 bag, 2 bags...

yet without having bad feeling cuz of over-spent~ ^^

but sadly, I've used up all my F21 voucher d... T.T

I'm not gonna enjoy this treats anymore...

thus, been browsing back my old blogs which carries my memories in Aussie...

those posts recalled me a lot of things...
only realized I've actually forgotten bit by bit of the drip-drop from my 18 mths life-in-melb...

I laughed when I read some of the farney-posts...
I felt upset when I came across some posts which I supposed I written with a rily bad mood...
I become miserable...
as the more I read, the serious I miss there...

reckon I've been working real-hard when I was there.. harder than wut I remembered...
there were many posts I sounded so tired...

I will get myself back there.... v-e-r-y--s-o-o-n...

Little vOiceOut

lately, I've received a call from nobody and heard some rumours regarding the post I blogged about a camera shop couple of months ago...

I even heard that... someone is intending to take legal action on it... ( I dunno how true is it... it's just 'rumours' )

however, after thinking over and over... I don't think I m gonna delete any post on my blog...

I started blogging since I was in high school... having heaps accounts at so many blog pages...

different blogs carry diff memories of my life....

my blogs are my journals of life, my diary...

it provided me spaces to remember down every single drop happened in my life..

my happiness, sadness, excitement, anger...

it's just a platform for me to share out my feeling... I don't force anyone to read it or take my advice...

I really do not like anyone to take my blog as a 'weapon' to attack business competitors..

don't wish Kim's lil PlaygrOund to have any chance involve in any complicated issues... or harm anyone/ anything by no mean...

we take others' advices as a reference in daily life... but not to do further negative actions...

I hope this post does make things clear enough..

everything does happen in good and bad endings... I'm the unlucky one that experienced the bad services... and yes, others may get something better... *fair-enuf*

whatever it is... this is my blog, my space to voice out my feeling, my doubts....

I'm not gonna make no changes...

Familie Gathering Dinner at Hainanese Delights, Hotel 1926

last Friday...
we had a 'blind' dinner at Hainanese Delights, Hotel 1926...

one of our cousie wanna buy our kOay-familie a dinner before he leaving back to Ireland...
Duck Soup with Yam

thick and nice...

Hainanese Big Spring Roll (with crabmeat inside)

Stir Fry Aparagus and shrimp with Belacan Sambal

Steamed Fish with soya sauce

Chicken Curry Kapitan

too bad we sùpposed they've overcooked the curry..
as it turned up abit bitter taste.. slightly...
*wasted*
Assam Big Prawn...

Stir Fry Tofu with Veggie

Stir-Fry Yellow Noodles with Bee Hoon...

nice to go with Sambal~~ :)

Black Pepper Crabs

all of them very un-satisfied with this..
as the crabs is not fresh at all.. though the boss insisted that it was freshly cooked.. but not dead-crabs...
but the meat just not in gud-nice-piece and taste no good...
Chicken Pie

filling: chicken diced, with boiled eggs, mixed beans and potato.. cooked in white cream sauce...

we all like the pastry layers very much...
I reckon it taste bit like Roti Canai, but crispy 1... more more nicer 1...
the pastry finished in less than 10 mins and left the whole bowl of filling there...
too bad.. we didn't get to try their famous Macaroni Baked..
as that has to order few days in advanced...
free dessert on the house...
Hainanese Specialty...

this is not Roti Babi...
filling is some peanuts crunch and sugar...

I rated this slight expensive... tho we ordered crabs and big prawns...
