Sushi Zanmai in Sunway~~

I blogged about Pasta Zanmai in KL in 2007…
a highly recommended Japanese Cuisine in KL…
It’s kinda a combination of 'Italian' & Japanese Cuisine in fact…
Few months after I tried that, another outlet mainly selling Sushi, purely Japanese Cuisine opened…
Heard from frens that the qualities of foods are as nice as Pasta Zanmai…
Unfortunately, during each trip to KL, I never had a chance to try it…
Finally, this round, I managed to bring my family to Sushi Zanmai in Sunway Pyramid, after our whole day out in Sunway Lagoon…
The varieties are cool yet prices are surprisingly cheap !

No way to get Japanese foods at these prices in Penang, I supposed…

Chawanmushi rm 4.80

there are mushroom, shrimp and etc inside...

Unagi Toji Nabe rm 12.80

Big Piece of Unagi served with a bowl of raw egg…
Cook as how you want it to be….
Je fu poured in the egg without stirring it, so when it cooked it turn out in a nice piece…
Unagi is thick and yummeh…
Soup based won’t be over sweet, cooked with slices of onion which makes it even tastier !

Yee Cheong had the Chicken pieces Rice, Mummy had the Tempura Prawn Rice while ah Yee had the Unagi Rice…

all Rice are served in Big or Small portion, we ordered all Small...

as the portion of Small is good enough...

I seldom see the Oyster dish in other Japanese Restaurant...

The pot comes with 5 Oysters which daddy said it’s really fresh and tasty !

Soup based is Kimuchi, little spicy with a lot of veggies such as cabbage, toufu, enoki mushroom, mini Chinese mushroom, Japanese glass noodles and leek…

stir fried noodles with cabbages, carrots, bean sprout and chicken pieces...

the noodles texture is good and Q enuf....

Salmon Zanmai rm 19.80
This simple one settled Aaron..
He always orders a lot of sushi whenever he dine in any Japanese restaurant..
All different kind of Salmon sushi…
But this plate already comes with 5 varieties of Salmon Sushi…
More than enough to fill his tummy… (price is cheaper a lot too !! :P )

Tempura Prawn in the centre while outer layer are covered with thinly slice cucumber

Maki stuffed with Cucumber and top with Big Piece of Grilled Unagi !It’s yum !!! I lub this !!

I think it's really cheap to pay only rm 12.80 for this !!!

no way to find this price with such big piece in penang...

9 of us, ordered so many foods,

our total bill after tax only rm 216.90 !!

we usually have to pay more with about the same portion of foods in other Japs Rest...

in fact, yee, jefu and I so wanted to try out the dessers...

I had the Macha Ice Cream with Red Bean Paste in Pasta Zanmai before...

and I like it..

too bad... we all were too filled up for any dessert... :'(
