Love & Bites Fusion Cuisine

Another newly opened restaurant in the heart of Georgetown...

Located at Nagore Road, between La Mei Zi & Pik Nik... We have the nice ambience eat-out place selling fusion foods...

Today is the 1st day opening ( 29th July' 2012 )... Soft launching to test run... But we already saw numbers of customers walking in... Some knowing from Facebook... Some are just walk-in of random passer-by...

Running by the owners of Chan Brothers... Needless to explain much, famous enough in Penang...

medium space with nice ambiance

specially like the built-in-sofa... lazy person like me... always will grab it before anyone occupied... hehe...

the house playing mostly relaxing Jazz Oldies...

and I love...   :)

walk in further, there are second part of the restaurant which is totally different concept from the front... 

I kinda love the concept... the furniture is unique...

but, it gonna slightly hotter if sitting inside here...

They're selling Fusion Cuisine, as the shop's name tells...

from Snacks to Appetizer, Main, Desserts, Beverages, quite a long list of varieties... 

they selling several types of Homemade Quiches ! 

I so can't wait to re-visit and try out their Quiches...

I just Love it~~~

they don't have much choices for Coffee... only Mocha / Tiramisu and one-more-which-I-can't-recall...

but few types of special Tea...

I had Aloe Vera Tea, served in Hot / Cold...

get to eat the little pieces of Aloe...

slight sweet but not too sweet... I like it...  :)

I so love it's Heart-handle...~

fren of mine highly recommended their Yogurt Drinks...

and no doubt... 

I give them a double-thumbs-up...

it won't be too sweet but just nice...

there's a special one - Mint Yogurt...

I'm not a Mint-person, but I reckon it sounds quite special... heard actually not bad...

so wanted to bring home...

my fren told me, they have lips-shaped-bowl sumore ~!! 

Chicken Schnitzel with Japanese Mashed Potatoes and Side Salad in Balsamic Sauce 

it's something very different from all the Chic Schnitzel I usually found in Aussie...

used to be big piece of deep fried breaded boneless chicken, cheese melted on top filled with tomato paste + ham slices in between...

on the menu, Chicken or Pork available for your choice...

they served as picture shown, 4 big slices instead...

 I supposed they mixed chopped chicken with extra ingredient like herbs, peas / potato maybe and reshape it  before deep fried...

something special from the house apart from the tradition.. 

it reminds me of Falafel... I believe they might share similar recipe / ingredients   :)

overall, I found it quite nice and speical... 

portion might not be fulfilling enough for guy as Main.. but good as a sharing portion among frens...  :)

Vietnamese Paper Rolls

Vietnamese Rice Paper Wrap with Thai Basil, Black Fungus, Cucumber, Pickle Papaya and Shrimp served with Vietnamese Hot Dips and Side salad...

the dipping sauce tastes like Thai Chilli Sauce...

I would suggest those that cant take the aroma of Basil better don't go for it...

like my fren, ordered then reckon it got the Basil leaves that he hates so much... 

left the whole plate for us to finish it !

Overall, it's nice and pretty in serving too   :)

so lovely and effort, they even provide small stalk of Lemon Grass to 'spoon' the sauce so too add on more flavor for the dish... *marks added   :)

as mentioned above, they served a varieties of Homemade Quiches...

can pick from the fridge near the counter...  :)

they imported this Japanese Bottled Beer, selling at rm 20++ per bottle...

I yet try out, but heard the feedback is quite not bad...

and not available in most places here in Penang...

shall try out...

Shop named as Love & Bites, you can see a lot of Cupids / Angels deco around the restaurant..

will definitely re-visit for more foods...

the biggest Overtime outlet in ASIA has opened in Penang Island, Times Square...

biggest outlet built with fantastic designs, being separated into few sessions with very nice deco... 

of all OT outlets, I really like here better...

in term of the wider space, different sessions and cooler atmosphere...

there are second floor with sofas...

it's kinda a private session for private parties perhaps...

It won't normally open for public, thus I supposed advanced booking prior the event is needed... 

this is VIP session with sofa as well... 

Starker, the first unveiled fresh beer in Malaysia.

Starker Lager...

A full bodied lager beer with a dinstinctive herbal aroma. Golden brown in color, its notable malty taste and medium bitterness from the hops gives it a distinctive character with a rounded, smoother mouth feel.

Starker Aromatic...

Golden yellow in appearance, a medium bodied beer with fresh fruity hints and herbal aroma. Malty-sweet in taste with apparent citrus notes, leading to a refreshingly clean and crisp after-taste.

Dunkel...

Starker Dunkel or Dark beer is an unfiltered and unpasteurized refreshing beer that is characterized by a rich smooth malty flavour with a deep copper colour, the results of malt and hops that are carefully roasted. 

From all, my favourite always goes to Lager...

Smooth and easy to drink... 

I believe it also the most popular drinks in OT... 

Aromatic aroma is way too flowery for my own liking...

thus, I won't comment much bout it... 

Dunkel - it smells slightly like Nutmeg... hmmm... it sounds weird, but it does taste good...

no way to compare with Guinness, as not as rich likethe 'normal stout' in my impression, or most of the people's impression..

can say different experience, those who like Hoegarden, don't mind give it a try...  

here has very attentive staff who are all-time alert with the 'coldness' of customers' glasses...

they make sure your beer mugs are always under the best condition to keep your beer cool enough... 

filling, change glass, provide good services to their customers.. 

Beside beers...

Iced Lemon Tea or soft drinks also available in Overtime !!!

so those non-alcohol taker... not to worry alright !

Talking bout foods... 

heard that OverTime Penang Times Square has the best MasterChef among OT outlets... 

I personally tried few of the dishes.. 

they are fanstastic ! 

OT serves Fusion Cuisine, be it Asian and Western... 

few signatures such as Mini / Crispy Pork Knuckles, Crunchy Pork, Honey Char Siew, Fire Pork, Beancurd Pork...

I only Tried 2 of the best selling which my frens kept telling me a MUST try... 

Crispy Pork Knuckles

the portion is huge...

good for sharing... leave away the tradition of chips / nuts + beer combination...

Pork Knuckles definitely a wiser choice to go with beer while chillaxing with friends !

the skin remains as crispy even put aside for a while...

it served with 2 types of chilli sauce..  1 sweet chilli sauce and another one slightly similar with those chicken rice chilli...

both go well with the Pork Knuckles...

Crispy skin with tender meat.. yum yum

Another highly recommended by my fren...

Crunchy Pork...

rubbed with fresh spices, this roast is loaded with flavour and basted with pan juices...

I supposed the chef slightly deep fried the roasted pork belly before served...

It's crispier and crunchier than the normal roasted pork belly... 

if thinking Pork Knuckles is too huge portion... this would be a great choice ! 

Venison Hor Fun 

nicely marinated sliced thin deer meats stir fry hor fun (thick flat rice noodles), tossed with garlic Chinese chives, beautifully ended with an egg to make the gravy thicker and tastier...

Duck Alfredo

Fettuccine pasta tossed in a traditional Alfredo sauce with Parmesan cheese and topped with sliced smoked duck... RM 19

According to the chef, he homemade the Alfredo Sauce for OT...

it's a simple yet mouth filling sauce... main ingredients are Parmesan Cheese + butter, as the cheese melts, it emulsifies the liquids to form a smooth and rich coating on the pasta...

I personally Love the cherry tomatoes so much... nicely absorb the beautiful aroma of the sauce... so juicy... so yummeh !  

OT PTS provides Jockey service too !!!

hence, need not worry bout the problem of looking for a carpark...
