deliciOus at Jalan Tun Razak

delicious...
alwiz da motivation for me to bring myself down to KL...
the one in Bangsar always my top preference...
due to rush hour + bad traffic + starving level, we decided to try out the newer outlet at Jalan Tun Razak...

no doubt, I think we had rily made a smart choice...
we were there at around 3 ish, thus skipped the crowded during lunch hr... *winkz :)

there are 2 levels,
restaurant at the upper level while downstair has a wine bar, bakery and groceries area...

I supposed there's a fine dining place at downstair too... :P

upper level has a bar, dessert areas, and huge space of dining areas...
besides, there's a little room for smoking area too !

we were hunger for F-O-O-D-S !!!
Wild Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread
soup is nice with heaps of chopped mushroom...
rich with mushroom but not the super creamy milky type...
overall is good~
Traditional Beef Meatball Spaghetti in tomato based sauce
the meatball is tender and well-flavoured...
the spoonful of spaghetti tastes wonderful while the slices of parmesan cheese melted in it...

Grilled Chicken Cos Lettuce Salad with Cranberries, Avocado, Turkey Bacon in Ranch Dressing
Ranch dressing is a condiment made of buttermilk or sour cream, mayonnaise, minced green onion, garlic powder and other seasonings mixed into a sauce...
in fact, I reckon it does slightly taste alike as the caesar salad sauce, just without the lemon juice sour flavour...
the turkey bacon is tasted great !!
I regret of not taking a solo pic of it...
it served in big crispy pieces... like 'chips'
baby cos lettuce is fresh and juicy, great combination with the rich ranch dressing...
while the cranberries bring the slight sweet taste...

the portion is Huge, I only managed to finished the veggie but left over many slices of grilled chicken...

********

after meal,
we proceed to the cosy area for drinks and desserts...
Sofa and cushions alwiz my fav chilling spot... *winkz

alwiz-good- Illy Coffee , Short Latte

too bad, the almond biscotti were out of stock...
refer back to my previous post 1, and post 2 here, their biscotti are always da yummiest...

**********
since long time ago,
my bossie and khai je kept telling me the No 1 must try food in Delicious must be the super Rich Chocolate Brownies...
unfortunately, I never get no chance to try it as there are Too Many desserts available there...
finally, I have made up my mind to forgo my lovely scrumble this round and ordered this

Chocolate Brownies served with Hot Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream

the brownies itself is So Rich, with macadania nuts...
served hot with smoke coming out from the centre...
imagine to taste a spoonful of hot-smokey-brownies with cold sweet vanilla ice cream...
the hot and cold simply heart-melted...

no wonder, 8 out of 10 tables must have this serving on...

while enjoying the heart-melted Rich Chocolate Brownies..
I spotted a cute little kiddo....

need no further tot, I asked his parents for permission to snap a photo with him...
[ >.< ]

I think he does kinda like me...
he kept walking to my table... and s-m-i-l-e at mie... ^^

he likes the instant photo that I gave him SO Much
in fact, he was trying to grabbed a way 2 photos from me...
luckily his parents asked him to gimme one... :P

Special Famous Curry Mee, Ayer Itam Market

we went to do prayer for Gong Gong at Kek Lok Si Temple...
itz been quite a while since the last visit to there... kinda miss gong gong... thus, suggested to 'visit' him on this beautiful Sunday...

As usual, after Kek Lok Si... we will have our breaky at Ayer Itam Market... our famous Curry Mee Stall...

the auntie is very old.. but still very Cute and nice~ ^^
I guess this is the last and only one Curry Mee stall in Penang... it doesn't sell at a normal hawker stall but auntie carries the bamboo baskets like old time... stall sets up by the road side...

people sits on the little stool surrounding the 'stall'... we hafta squat and eat the yummie curry mee under the hot but healthy morning Sun... this will certainly makes the food become more delicious... won't it..?

I believe daddy and uncles have been visited old auntie's curry mee during their very young age... even before I was borned...
therefore, me too been visiting this stall since kindergarden, or perhaps younger...

auntie is so cute, purposely held on the post for me to take a pic of her...
the specialty of her curry mee is the Marinated Cuttle Fish.. its gravy certainly made its soup reached the MAx yummie level...

beside CurryMee, auntie does actually sell Economic Fried Bee Hoon too... it's Amazing to have the fried bee hoon in Curry Mee soup !! oh my~
too bad.. the fried bee hoon always sold out very early.. apparently, I didn't get to have it ... *sniff~

the curry mee doesn't have thick coconut milk aroma.. much clearer compared to others... no prawn, no any fancy ingredient but the gravy from the marinated cuttle fish given it the sweetness taste...

today, when I was browsing tru some food blogs, I found this blog writing about auntie's curry mee... was surprised... ^^ see how famous is it..?
je je is having her 2nd bowl~

we didn't sit at auntie's stall... I can't bare to holding the hot bowl and squating at the stall... guess I will drop the bowl before I finish my mee... but it's really a cool experience to eat in squating pose beside a river... I would give it a go during my next visit... :P we seated at the kopi stall opposite...

this auntie used to sell Hokkien Mee which is very nice too...
recently, she sells English Breakfast too...

it looks tempting huh...

after meal, I must go to the bakery along the main road !!

breads are always so fresh and special in variesties... it opens at 4/5am daily..

they offer varieties of healthy bread.. such as wholemeal/ multigrain/ black sesame and etc etc.. which are all so nice....

I wish to try this Mango Tart whenever I passed by this signboard... See how tempting is this...

Olive Spring Guest House & Rainforest Bakery @ Chulia St

been cio'ing to have breaky at Olive Spring Guest House for so long.. finally we were here today... but just 3 of us...
I reckon their style is kinda Aussie... while reading over the Menu... the foods offering are so familiar.. like those in Aussie Breaky Menu.. hehe..
I was so excited while seeing the Homemade Yogurt with Fruits, Muesli, Porridge, Pancake and last but not least..
the main character goes to... "Sandwiches"
besides, they do have some western foods like burger, chix chop, meatball pasta as well as Asian cuisine as well...
this Guest House is owned by the Owner of Rainforest Bakery... both the shops are linked.. they're owned by a Twin Brothers.. so coincidently, they're my bro's frens... I only found out this last week...
As a starter of the day.. we ordered a Mushroom soup for sharing..
the owner being so honest.. when we asked him which soup does he recommend (there are a variety of soups available... ) he just told us, actually their soups are nothing special.. just like normal.. it depends...
as told.. the soup is rily so so nia.. I doubted they use the Canned-Soup... kinda clear.. ain't taste bad.. just like how he said.. taste OK...

Mung ordered the Mushroom & Cheese Omelette...

it comes with 2 slices of homemade wholemeal toast...
I ordered this for Stewpig... Open Sandwich w Bacon, Onion and Cheese...
he chosen the multigrain-wheat-roll.. (there's a name for it.. but I can't recall ) slightly toasted...so nice ! just a splash of grounded-black-pepper and some salt on top of it will certainly bring out the aroma to the peak...

something special in da house...
Baked Bean & Cheese Baked Potatoes... there are choices of, Bacon & Cheese/ Ham & Cheese/ Tuna and etc... (they named it dunno 'Potato Bucket' or sumthing like that... )
they first boiled the potatoes till half-cooked.. then add on the other ingredients and baked it !
mah all-tym-fav-Baked-Beans... so yummy yummy~ ^^

Fresh-squeeze Pineapple Juice, with no sugar added... there's a combo Juice which has no water and sugar added... wholly pure... !!
in Aussie... all the juices are with no water, no Ice & no sugar/ syrup... they tend to squeeze the fruits until the glass is filled... can imagine how many carrots do they use to fill up a glass of Carrot Juice...? I meant the giant size of glass.. not the Asian-tiny-glasses like those used in kopitiam.. the answer is MANY... I miss that !

TUBORG !! the latest-fav-beer of stewpig & I...
she is so enjoying... hmmm...
one of my Fav-Bakery... Rainforest Bakery, next to this guest house...
they sell healthy bread... they don't offer that many varieties as Continental does...
if anyone after healthy bread like multigrain with pumpkin sead, Dark Rye, sour dough.. n etc etc...

I like their muffin... available everyday... the left one is Plum and the right one is Raisin...
this is the only Cookies available there... crazie-Nice... I let everyone to take a bite.. all of em also like it...
itz like exactly a multigrain pumpkin seeds bread.. just the texture is harder like a biscuit should be...
and it is expensive... costs me RM3.80/ piece... but definitely wOrth a try !!

Trois Canon Cafe @ Chulia Street

Been passing by this cafe for years... always have a thought that ' it can survive for so long, must have some reasons... '  wa...
