a day at MorningtOn, Melbourne

*blush*
it's time for me to blog about my Aussie trip after pending for few months...
was so occupied for the past mths...
busy with works... team building...
dearly grandma passed away  :'(
bestie wedding... and etc etc

this post is about the outing to Mornington on the 2nd day of my Melbourne trip backed in Apr~

a nice place to visit... bout an hour drive from Melbourne...
along the way, there are vineyard, beaches, sight seeing and etc...
always love there~  ^^

we dropped by somewhere to get some take aways coffees to kick start the day~

Eunice & Khai bring us to Montalto Vineyard for lunch...
it was my first time to there...
reckon the wines there are OK but Pizzas are awesome !
it was Sunday, thus kind of crowded.. gotta queue for tables ~
Khai invited some frens to join us for lunch too !
brought stewpig for some walk along the wineries...
too bad.. it's autumn... thus couldn't get to see the beautiful views of grapes everywhere~

very good weather...
sunny day + cold wind = beautiful !!

the beautiful blue sky just like a blue wallpaper !

me lub this pic !   :P

there is a restaurant, indoor, air-conditioned, more to Fine Dining in this vineyard...
we chose to have our lunch at The Piazza and Garden Cafe which serves yummilicious Pizzas~
sat at the wooden table dat nearer to the yard....
enjoy the cold wind under the sun~   ^^

we had Rose Wine and Riesling White Wine~
the Riesling is nice !

Salad as starter ~

Simple Salad with Rocket, Red Onion, Tomatoes, Balsamic Dressing

Soup of the day - Cauli Flower and Cream
ooo.. this is fantastic !! creamy yet wouldn't be too milky... smooth and nice !!!

Pizza ~ Lamb, potato, bacon & rosemary - $18

Pizza ~ Lamb, potato, bacon & rosemary - $18

Pizza ~  Smoked Salmon, onion, citrus mayonnaise & capers - $20

Pizza ~ Salami, mushroom, bocconcini & fresh rocket - $18

yum yum Tiramisu~

Homemade Chocolate Brownie with heaps of Peanuts, served with Cream
the cake itself tasted not bad but we all find it quite weird with the peanuts part...
wondering why they chose peanuts instead of walnut or macadamia... not for our liking !

cont our road trip~
Khai stopped by here.. where I got no idea where is it...
part of Mornington Peninsula of course...
came down for the cars, and had some chit-chat on the goodie weather ~
Aussie life is just so relaxing ~ expecially on a Easter Sunday~ hahaha

our ride throughout the trip~

Mornington Beach...
to snap some photos with the colourful tiny huts along the beach...
the nicest huts are actually all at Brighton Beach instead..
but we were bit lazy to drive there for picture...
the huts are mainly to keep the boat, or some ppl call it bathing boxes...

off to Sorrento next...

also my first time to here...
it has a pier with  many boats...
people came here for fishing, dolphin sea trips and etc...
we had a quick tour at Sorrento thus didn't know much bout here...
but definitely a nice place to visit....

this pastries shop is famous with selling the BEST Vanilla Slices ...

they selling foods, sandwiches, varieties of pastries, and beverages...
but alot of ppl purposely travel there for their Vanilla Slice...

Vanilla Slice
it's filled with Vanilla Custard, usually has only top and bottom of pastry layer... The sweet is often dusted with icing sugar... we were kinda disappointed... as the slices did not impress us at all..
according to Eunice, it rily dídn't taste as nice as it used to be... found several pastries shops in city that served nicer slices...
don't mind to give it a second chance... could be caused of the busy weekend...
as after that day, I still see many frens visitting there for their slices...   :)

the sky was getting dark, and we off to Springvale for some Vietnamese foods as dinner.. which i gonna blog in other post~   :)
