another abandoned post - family day out at Crab Village Restaurant

Below post is about Sept' 2009, written Oct'09, another forgot-to-post

family and I brought lil mOnster and Aaron to Youth Park during a weekend evening...
when the kids were busy cycling and running around the slide-down...
us, the adults..
having some funs by ourselves too... he he

when approaching dinner-tym...

stewpig suggested to makan at Crab Village...
he wanted to buy my family for a dinner... to celebrate my aunt's burfday at times...
and yeah..

this was again none-of-mah-biz...
I was just a stranger A to share happiness of mah-beloved-family when talking bout seafood...
especially Crabs... -____-"

Fried Kam-Hiong Kappa...
the clam is a big one.. not those normal size... I wondered if there were 20 pieces in a plate, or lesser?

Fried Maggie...
Okay... nothing special...
but we must have some main dish like this to cure our hunger....

Sauteed Big Prawns with Salt...
stewpig said.. it was bit too dry....
which simply covered the freshness of the prawn...

Hokkien Char

Deep Fried 'cheah' fish...
this is good to go with some Lime-Sambal...
the crispy level can allow us to swallow in the whole fish... including the fish head and the fish bones...

Stir Fry Veggie with Pork Floss on top

Here come the highlight of the nite~~~
CRabbiesSsss~~~~~

I bet alot of ppl out there
hardly get to try the crabs with so much 'egg & yolks' in it...
as those we could buy from market, are after ' filtered' by the restaurants owner...
(this is wut daddy told me... )

the orange thing on jefu's fork is the whole-piece of ' yolk' ... -___-

seeing the nice piece of yolk...
could imagine their price won't be cheap at all...

the total bill is over rm 400 ~~

da Awesomeness about Making Progress of Gong Th'ng

Below photos and videos were taken since Jan’ 2009…
I believe there’s not much places selling this fresh Peanut Dessert in Penang or Malaysia around this year…
Staying in Pg for 24 yrs…
loving to eat Gong Th’ng since small…
This was my first time seeing the progress of making it…
It’s rather incredible…
I never ever thought that it would be like this at all…
Stewpig kept telling me I will definitely get very shocked, so unbelievable…
after fried/ cooked the peanut with sugar...
when it's still hot...
uncle will make it flat like this.... ( before process, it's exactly like the Tor Tau Th'ng 花生糖 )

Gong Th’ng, Peanut Dessert
I got no idea what’s the correct name in English…
It makes by Peanut and Sugar…
Can be eaten just like this…
In order to avoid the peanut drop over all the places…
by following the traditional way, some peoples with like to eat by wrapping with ‘spring roll skin’
After tasted the FRESH Gong Th’ng made by this uncle, you won’t want to eat any other gong th’ng that sell in random places…
Uncle used to sell in a stall at Jelutong Market on weekend morning as well as outside temples on random days…
*****
Finally on Dec’ 2009, they decided to run a shop and selling it all-day !!
So we could have it anytime, but not only during weekend now !! hurray !!!
The shop is located at Perak Lane, around the morning market, further down a bit from the famous Lor Mee Stall (on your left)…

Besides, Gong Th’ng, their Tor Tau Th’ng (Peanut Dessert) is also freshly made daily…
Since they run this shop, they too selling varieties of pastries/ desserts…
All are recommended !! ^^
Another thing to mention, all the aunties, uncles are very frenly and nice !! :)

here are the must-watch-videos of the making process of Gong Th'ng !!
