2nd visit to Mews Cafe wif my dearie Eu :)

last random weekday...

before meeting for fren's burfday dinner...

I brought my dearie Eunice to Mews Cafe for coffee...

appreciate my current job so much...

which allowed me to catch for a drink session before dinner :)

it's my 2nd visit at Mews...

and I reckon the menu has revised a bit... with added foods...

Eunice seriously had her Mocha at this evening hr...

Hot Cafe Mocha served in antique bowl

Pris joined later...

Caffe Latte for her...

Eunice likes to say I always order 'weird' thing...

i keen to try new things on the menu...
I got this Cheng Th'ng for myself...

nothing special la...

normal Cheng Poh Liong kind of dessert...
but it's nice.... rm 6

Longan, wintermelon, 'Pong Dai Hai', Red dates, Sea coconut...
available in hot or cold
I like this.. very nice :)

We ordered some snacks for sharing...
Sago with Gula Melaka...

like the ways they served the foods...

but reckon this is so so only... the gula melaka is not nice enough.. bit watery...

Pris had this Chocolate Cake...
according to her.. it's not too bad...

Fried Corn and Prawn Cake....

served with Side Salad + Sweet Chilli Sauce

something like thai cuisine...

it's nice !!
again.. I didn't get to try the main course...

reckon they served very fusion cuisine here..

such as Nasi Lemak Bento, Laksa, Curry Mee, Sandwiches, Omelette and etc...

portion generous and look nice...

as mentioned in previous post, the pricing here is kinda pricey...

but points given due to it's air-conditioned, strategic area+ frenly services...

still worth to come once in a while...

on a hot-weather... :P

simple dinner at Yeng Keng Boutique Hotel

many weeks ago..

me and frens went dinner at Yeng Keng Boutique Hotel...

situated at Chulia Street, nearby 7-eleven

there are around 20 rooms, with price approximately rm 300 ++ per night...

we thought it's selling Hainanese Cuisine...

ended up reckon the varieties ain't a lot... should be Western + Eastern instead...

a bit pricey... as those foods ain't really special...

*********

we all agreed this is the yummiest dish of the nite...

Stir Fry Sliced Beef Egg Hor Fun, rm 15

the portion is big, sliced beef are tender and well-flavoured...

the gravy mixed well with the raw eggs..

alot of shallots on top to enhance the flavours...

Hai Nam Char, rm 10

Stir Fry Yellow Noodles with Chicken diced, prawn and some veggie...

shallots and fried onion sprinkled on top..

must have with the Belacan Sambal...

something similar like Hokkien Char....

Inchi Kabin, Fried Chicken...

not for my liking... the sizes of the chicken ain't really perfect.. a bit too small..

become less meat lotsa bones...

Chicken Chop RM 15... with heaps of fries and coleslaw

this is definitely not the Hai Nan Style...

it's like the normal Chicken chop with oriental sauce...

normal...

I just realized I lost the photo of the Fish & Chip.. rm 15

anyway, Vin had very bad experience with the fish & chip...

it didn't taste good...

very hard, till he simply use the fork to eat the whole piece of fish without cutting it into small pieces...

I refused to try... his comments are, hard + dry...

how on earth could we get such a full-ingredients pastries in Malaysia at such a reasonable price...

on the 4th day morning...

we tried out the Teppanyaki Shop nearby our apartment which highly recommended by one of the taxi driver...

a very simple shop with not much decoration...

when we looked at the cheap price...

we did not have any high expectation... just treated it as a fast food teppan...

the portion of veggie are given very generous portion to each of us...
they fried cabbages and bean sprout separately with diff recipe... bit diff with those serving in Malaysia...

the veggie are really sweet and nice !!!

Seriously,
this was the very first time, I had such a nice teppanyaki at such a low price...

Imagine the price of most of the selections is averagely at around TWD 110 ONLY...

all selection served with bowl of white rice, free flow drinks, free flow soup of the day,

very big portion of cabbages and black pepper bean sprout ( which is really a new and fresh recipe afterall ^^ )

Teppanyaki Beef

many Prawns with heaps of Spring Onion

Mushroom with Bassil , this is cheaper, only TWD 80 or 90

Fried Scallop with Bassil and Onion

Grilled Cod Fish

no way to have such a big piece for such a price in Malaysia !!

I had the Lemon Grilled Saba Fish... very fresh and a big piece served !

*******************

along the road, there's a shop selling dumpling !!

seeing them producing dumpling non-stop daily...

must have a try before going home !!

we took away some fried dumpling...

original (pork + cabbage) , Ku Cai (chives) , Kimchi , Curry and etc...

TWD 7 for each...

ingredients generous and juicy !! I miss it so much !!!

*********

we wanted to try this since the 1st day while we walked to the Train Station from our apartment...

however, we backed home after 1am every nite..
