once we logged in to work..

one of the colleague forwarded out a mail...

a newly Cafe opened at the shoplots next to Qbay... OXO CafeLab

the back row of HSBC...

since it offered 15% for opening promotion...

we decided to have a try on it...

the deco is really Nice with double storey..

I specially love any places with Chandelier ^^

we've been led to upstair for a table for 11...

half sofa, half cushion chairs at the side corner...

under a huge feather chandelier...

There were few sets on the promotion item..
Most of us had the SET A, apparently the cheaper one.. >.< RM11.60 after 15% off becomes rm 9.90 plus the charges only rm 10.20 each..
From appetizer, a Soup of the day or Smoked Salmon Salad + Main course + Dessert, cookies+fruits+brownie + Drinks…
It’s so worth.. ain’t it…

Crispy Batter Deep-FRied Fish Fillet, sautéed Veggies and Fried potatoes with Caramelised Onion.. the potato slices are nice indeed…
The fish fillets comes in 3 pieces… served with their homemade TarTar Sauce…

It’s nice.. the fish cutlet is fresh.. won’t be covered by too much flour batter…

Some ordered Set B, costs more of one or two dollars.. worth still..
It’s a Boneless Chicken... Juicy Chicken Piccata with Boxthorn Fruits and Plum Sauce Combining…
The meats are tender… and well-flavoured…

The appetizer and main course already satisfied our appetite.. We found it suffered to finish all the dessert.. so full !!

Though it’s newly opened… the staff do provide good services.. and foods served in cool speed too…
Beside the Western foods, they also serve healthy rice set… with Herbal Soup & Dish…
Pancake for breaky and etc etc…
Will go for second visit.. hopefully the promo is still on… :P

nice spot to hang out for Happy Hour... with the bar tables and high stools...

La Bodega Restaurant & Bar

It is a Spanish restaurant with three different sections. One is the chill out place where people drink and eat tapas, the other is the fine dining area that is cozy with the dim yellow light and lastly is the lounge that serves drinks and desserts.

We had dinner at the one nearby Pavillion.

This Restaurant is famous of Tapas.

Tapas is a typical snack or appetizer in Spanish culture and here at La Bodega, it is almost like a degustation set with a variety of tapas served concurrently. The portions come in two different sizes, small and large.

We ordered the White Wine to go with our meals~ ^^

BAguette with Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar.. ^^

We ordered 3 tapas and a main for sharing... here they are...

Sauteed MushroomAparagus wrapped with Beef, sauteed in Tomato Chutney... the sauce is nice!

Grilled Chix in Pita.. specially for Mung.. who doesn't eat Red Meat..

paella de codomiz (rm28 per pax )(for a min of 2 persons)

for me... I reckon it tasted something like Risotta... perhaps this is slightly drier than that... since this is baked rice... and that slow-cooked with stock... both are sticky enuf...

tho it stated for 2, but 5 of us sharing it... just nice... won't be too stuffed..

Because... we still have the super duper yummy cake !! Nuttiez Tiramisu from Alexis~

the difference of this tiramisu from others is the Caramelised Almond Nuts on its surface... oh my.. this is so tempting !!

It is just Awesome afterall...

The nite is still young.. of cause we won't just end 7th like this... Yik Chun brought us to this new-hang-out-hit-spot... Quattro @ Avenue K... the concept of this party place is Amazing.. they make it into 4 seasons... The Spring Lounge, Summer Restaurant, Autumn Club and lastly Winter Bar...

Spring Lounge is half-opened-air... has Live Band performance all-nite-long... quite a gud spot for gatheirng & chit-chat...

there's a lil aisle between the Spring Lounge and Autumn Club.. the lil path will 'rain' at every hour... whenever the minutes needle hits 12... there're number of umbrella be ready at each end.. whoever that wanna pass on this path.. is welcomed to use the umbrella... the rain will cont' for 10 minz... unfortunately, we missed out all the '12' during our 4 hrs there... :( I think it is fun !

2 entrance to enter the Winter Bar, one is from outside, 1st floor of Avenue K building.. that you need to go up with the elegator and walk to the end... the other is from the stairs in the club.. but it needs another enter pass .. not allowed to enter with the chop from the club..

thanks for the sake of Yik Chun, we're permitted to tour around the bar without any pass... no doubt the bar is freezing cold... most of the customers inside were wearing jumper/ cardigan or even sweater... inside the bar, there's a Icy Room.. with erm... 5 or less than that degrees.. the room is small, thus can only afford 5 persons to go in each time... in order to keep the coldness...

Palate Palette Restaurant & Bar

Palate Palette... a place that I wanted to go for so long... since the day Eve told me bout this and showed me some photos she taken from this place... I known myself have fallen in luv with this lil place...
the deco, the concept, the style no doubt are all so-Me... it makes me think of Aussie... those caffe that I've missed so muchie!!
Finally.. I got to visit here !! this is the most-wanted-visit place in this trip..
I forgot to ask Eve for the location... unfortunately, she was in Hadyai during this weekend... I got no idea who could possible point us the directions.. I used my iphOne to google it and got the map... but when we got to this area.. we rounded n rounded for more than 30 minz... cudnt find it !! everyone was starving and getting frustrated... imagine, the traffic in kl town on Sat nite.. *killing...
wutever it is, there was no disappointment, no regret when we stepped in the gate..
biz was gud, fulled house on this Sat nite... ^^

theBar~ they provided magic-inks (haha... long tym neva heard of this noun d.. :P ) / markers & papers for customers to draw while waiting~ *we like it... hmmmm.... ^^

the 1st browse on the Beverage Menu... I reckon this is meant for me !! Honey Lem0n with Zinger~ *winkz~

whereas Wah had the Granny's Lemonade... (from the top left) the name of this drink is so homey... ^^

Fresh Iced Mint Tea... freshly chopped mint... great choice for refreshment~

Caffe Latte with homemade almond Biscottistarter from the house.. Homebake wholemeal sesame bun with butter ball.. I lub it !!

notice the butter ball...? what a Great idea!! the serving is so special and cute to attract everyone's attention...

Mushroom Cappuccino~ Its a mushroom soup topped up with Cuppa Froth...

something special to try on.. but tasted so so.. not for my liking... the mushroom soup is very thick.. but like lacking of something... I guess it was the cream... to make it tasted less delicious.. more sour cream would definitely boost out the taste !

I doubt the froth wasn't smooth enuf.. too much foam to hold it from perfection..

Spicy Chicken Fococcia... they offered choices of sandwich or Rosemary fococcia... and Mung chosen this...

The homemade Coleslaw is so yummie.. with the raisin mixed around...

Moo Stew... beef stew with mushroom & white onion served with fettucinne... the beef is so tender and well-flavoured... ^^

the name of this dish attracts ppl the most... Vegetarian Lasagna...

something common.. it has the grilled egg-plant, zuchini, capsicum & carrots... I felt this is OK... as I lub grilled vege... but for the taste... everyone complaint it was a bit too sour.. I guess this was caused by the tomato paste..

Supposedly, the making for lasagna, is layer by layer with minced beef paste, cream sauce ( which made by the flour, whipped/sour cream/ milk & cheese ) and followed-by the lasagna sheets... I doubt this Vegetarian lasagna doesn't contain the cream sauce.. perhaps no dairy products for Vege meals huh...?

Zinger Creme Brulee w Almond Biscotti...

the custard is very nice with lil zinger flavour... (not strong at all...) but the caramelized sugar was too sweet for me... thus, we cleared up all the custard filling and left the layer of sugar untouched... :P

Mung likes the almond biscotti so much... they're so fresh... crunchy and crispy.. not like those too hard to even have a bite...

at first, Mung asked the waitress if we could order extra of this, and the lady told us that they not selling only this...

later on, Kurt asked another waiter if we could have more... the nice waiter gave us 4 pieces with free-of-charge !! ^^

matches-in-da-hOuse... ( I'm also a matches & lighter collector.. altho I hate smoking... )

all the chairs/ tools in this restaurant are different, none of them is repeated... lucky us had this angel-chair... I love wingz~

Magazines & Games corner... I found this horoscope book over the corner... I didn't even finish the 1st page, and had been stopped and get set for the Monopoly~

this was the 1st time I saw a player been trapped in the jail more than 4 times in a game... (in an hr) and got the 'Chance' card to play each player $500 in cash for twice !! ha ha ha

this fellow so proud... but in facts, he always kena jail n etc since the beginning of the game... when he finally happened to be riched.. there's no more property nor land for him to buy... he had only 2 properties on his hand throughout the whole game.. none of us willing to sell him ours... muahahha..

he then buillt hotels at his cheapest properties... the 1st one after the starting point... >.<

yeah.. this miang guy is having his hiao-tot... :P
