Delicious, Alexis - Bangsar Village

2nd day...
we woke up at 11ish...
get ourselves prepared, picked up Mung & Kelvin...
reached Bangsar Village almost 3pm...
took LONG time to find a parking space...
ended up parked at the indoor carpark with expensive parking fees...
we were starved... I will definitely pass out if we take few more minutes to look for parking space...
can't decide to dine in at Delicious or Alexis.. since both of them are in my must-eat-list in this trip..
at last, Delicious won~
according to Mung, a lot of local celebraties like to dine in at Delicious, bangsar..
it was full-housed and we met a local DJ/ VJ seated few tables from us...
Caffe Latte with Biscotti...
the coffee aroma freshed up our day... my fav ILLY coffee that they're using... mMmm ^^
we asked for more Almond biscotti, and the nice waiter brought us 2 little cups with more than 10 biscotti... ^^
F.O.C.
I can't resist from the varieties of dessert,
therefore, I didn't order for the main course, and go ahead for the dessert...
Banana & Peaches Crumble, served with a scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream...
*heaven~
most of the waiter/ waitress recommended the Apple & berries Crumble..
but I tot the banana & peaches is special.. apple is more common that available at most places..
and I've made a right decision..
this is so nice~ and of cause it won't be that sweet as berries do...
Luckily I didn't order any main or appetizer..
otherwise, I got no idea how am I going to finish them... ^^
Spagetti Carbonara by Kelvin...
a lot of bacon...
and plenty pieces of Parmesan slices on top of the pasta..
creamy and yummy~

Spicy Crab Linguine
I can't recall what's the veggie called, but it's something like Rockette...
with bitter flavour...
pity Mung has to pick em up one by one.. in order not to spoil her pasta..
afterall.. it's nice... and fresh~
The Pine Nuts simply attracted me !! so nice..
but I really can't stand the smell of crab meat...
every mouthful of pasta consists of crabmeats....

Delicious Signature Masala Lamb Shank

once we entered the restaurant..
we can see every 5 from 10 tables do have orderes this..
no doubt.. this is really nice..
see there are Pine Nuts again !! with raisin sumore !! *weEee... he he
the rice has beautiful aroma... not normal white rice... not nasi lemak.. just dunno what type/ flavor of rice is it.. but it goes so well with the curry...
the lamb is SO tender and well-flavoured... it's huge and have a lot of meat...
we were struglling to finish it...
unfortunately, the Papadum is not crunchy at all.. not nice...

The ladies, one from England, another one is Canadian... they were so nice that offered to help us to take a pic in front of 'Delicious'
they were so surprised when knowing that we are from Penang...
they both follow their husband to KL for business...
both of them met each other in Penang, Bt Feringghi 3 years ago..
after that trip, they will catch up once in a while somewhere in KL...
this gathering would be the last meet up for them, as one of them is leaving to HK in a week times... (her husband has been transfered to HK... )

We met ko ko at Alexis during tea-time..
he came down to kl in the morning for a meeting, will be leaving at dinner time...
we were not to have high-tea here, in facts, ko ko has yet had his lunch... and he is so so so missed his little lobster pasta ~

toasted bread with Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar...
simply Best~ ^^

Yappies with Angel Hair Olio
koko always crazies with Pasta Aglio Olio... which mainly cooked with Olive Oil & pepper flakes,
no sauce no cream no cheese...
but this is not that common in M'sia..
so far, we don't see it available in most of the restaurant in Penang..
Seafood Olio-Olio Pasta in QE II is one of koko's favourite...
the angel hair looks so much like Wan Tan Mee...
ha ha.. we seldom see Angel hair available at most restaurant too...
guess many ppl not really familiar with it too..
it's the type of pasta that thinner than Spagethi... je's favourite choice..
some people do not like it... but we reckon the thin'ness makes us feel not that full compared with other type of pasta...
babie lobsters in Olio is simply best~

Strawberry Cheese Cake for myself~ *winkz~
so smooth.. so nice.. so yummie~~

1st day of mRaz tRip... Pavillion

it's been a month since I came back from our mRaz tRip..
and yes... now only I blog about my trips... :P

initially, we planned to have buffet lunch at Tenji, Mont Kiara when arrive in KL...
reservation has been made a day earlier..
our late breaky at Ipoh... certainly made us do not have the crave for the Japz Buffet no more..
as mrStewpig took only 1 & a half hrs drive from Ipoh to KL... =.=""

we decided to park our car at Stadium Merdeka, and take Monorail to Pavillion for late lunch...
I've blogged about a Congee & Yao Yiu stall at Pavillion's foodcourt last yr... [ *old post ]
been introduced to few pplz... no doubt all of them like it...
stewpig can't wait to try it out after hearing so much good recommendation on it...
after a yeear, the price has increased a bit... but consider reasonable still...
Bowl of Dried Scallop Congee plus a pair of Eu Char Kuih cost only rm3.80.. (was rm3.50 previously)
we bought 1 Sesame Ball with Lotus filling for rm1.40

the congee still that smooth and 'sweet'... so so so yummie... stewpig likes it very much~ ^^

saw a dessert house at the back corner, MOF Japanese Sweets & Coffee
according to Yik Chun, it opened at last year end..
the menu simply attracted stewpig & I..
Green T ice-cream with Red Bean Paste is always my fav..
my eyes gone bling bling while looking at the menu outside the cafe..
persuaded Eve & Mung to join us for some high-tea~

the ice-cream is rich and the red bean paste is thick enough..
this dessert comes with glutinous rice balls...
it could be good if it serves in smaller portion..
Red Bean Paste used to be very Sweet... that's why it goes so great with Green T ice-cream..
this serving is way too much...
everyone of us felt yulky before finished half of it...

Green Tea & Red Bean Gelato (from Japan)Eve had this Shiratama Kuri Mitsu, rm 11.00
dunno-wut-jelly topped with Vanilla Soft-Serve, with fruits and glutinuos rice balls...
that's a special sauce to pour on this dessert...
this is specially for Mung, mini Choco Pistachio Waffle... rm3.00
at first I thought it's doughnut while browsing on the menu.. in facts, it's mini waffle ~
the size simply smaller than a doughnut ~!!

Yik Chun "dropped by" in the middle of working...
to join us for some shopping and high-tea~Uhuhu CheeseCakes !!
I'll sure kill by khai je.. if I don't come and try at least one...
he he.. the Loaf is the bakery/ Caffe owned by Mr Mahathir ~
the mini cup cheese cake costs rm2.80 each..
some said it's expensive... for me.. I think this is still okay..
it's hard to find a Good cheesecake that able to satisfy my weird taste for cakes...
this is Awesome ~

khai je...highly recommended for Oat Cheese Cake...
something that meant-for-Me... so looking forward... !!
while I walked near the shop.. I saw a board on the fridge, written ' OAT CHEESECAKE SOLD OUT !! '
!@#$%%!#!#@$%^
I got myself a BLueberry and Peach & Pistacious while Mung had the Strawberry...
the cheese is so smooth~
*thumbs up ~

everyone needs a Coconut Jelly when suffering under the Hot Sun

After browsing the net and saw the Coconut Jelly post
Stewpig and I decided to explore it during the weekend…
In facts, the shop is located at Dato Kramat nearby my dad’s office…
Facing the main road, before the traffic light…
Ko ko, stewpig and I felt so sick under such a lousy weather… we couldn’t wait to have a fresh coconut drink…
ko ko said... the guy is like chopping somebody's head...
he fully utilised his strength to 'open'
Fresh Coconut able to cool down our body… it’s good to have one when feel urself is getting heaty..
I felt my throat so fresh immediately once I had a big big sip ! it kicked away the sore’ness in a speedy mode…

We took away few coconut jelly to Linna’s… as our stomach had already filled with the coconut juice and fruits…
We never expect the Coconut Jelly costs so expensive… rm 3.70 for a tiny 1…
But it is SO SO SO nice…
It’s amazing to have one, especially when u’re suffering from a hot & heaty weather… it cools off ur inner body immediately !!
Before I tried, I told myself, I will not buy the 2nd time, as I really couldn’t except it costed me rm3.70 for 1… when the fresh coconut sells at rm 1.70 each...
But now and then.. I will think of it whenever I see the mr Hot Sun…

OXO CafeLab, Qbay

16th MArch, mOn...
once we logged in to work..
one of the colleague forwarded out a mail...
a newly Cafe opened at the shoplots next to Qbay... OXO CafeLab
the back row of HSBC...
since it offered 15% for opening promotion...
we decided to have a try on it...
the deco is really Nice with double storey..

I specially love any places with Chandelier ^^
we've been led to upstair for a table for 11...
half sofa, half cushion chairs at the side corner...
under a huge feather chandelier...

There were few sets on the promotion item..
Most of us had the SET A, apparently the cheaper one.. >.< RM11.60 after 15% off becomes rm 9.90 plus the charges only rm 10.20 each..
From appetizer, a Soup of the day or Smoked Salmon Salad + Main course + Dessert, cookies+fruits+brownie + Drinks
It’s so worth.. ain’t it…

Crispy Batter Deep-FRied Fish Fillet, sautéed Veggies and Fried potatoes with Caramelised Onion.. the potato slices are nice indeed…
The fish fillets comes in 3 pieces… served with their homemade TarTar Sauce

It’s nice.. the fish cutlet is fresh.. won’t be covered by too much flour batter…

Some ordered Set B, costs more of one or two dollars.. worth still..
It’s a Boneless Chicken... Juicy Chicken Piccata with Boxthorn Fruits and Plum Sauce Combining
The meats are tender… and well-flavoured…

The appetizer and main course already satisfied our appetite.. We found it suffered to finish all the dessert.. so full !!

Though it’s newly opened… the staff do provide good services.. and foods served in cool speed too…
Beside the Western foods, they also serve healthy rice set… with Herbal Soup & Dish
Pancake for breaky and etc etc…
Will go for second visit.. hopefully the promo is still on… :P
nice spot to hang out for Happy Hour... with the bar tables and high stools...
